Entertaiment is a broad term that can include anything from an individual who selects and plays private entertainment from a growing array of pre-recorded products; to a meal for two, any size or kind of party, to a performance intended for thousands. Entertainment can be for pleasure or may serve a social purpose, such as ceremonial, religious festivals, satire, or even research into serious diseases like cancer. Entertainment can also cross over into different media, enabling the reuse of familiar themes and images in new ways.
