LexisNexis recently launched a new service called Fact & Issue Finder. This tool is a resource for lawyers that helps them track statutes and dockets related to a specific legal topic. Now, the tool includes a publication status filter to make it easier to find all of the facts and issues you’re looking for. In addition to this new tool, LexisNexis has also released a Federal Legislative History Research Guide.
It is also worth noting that Lexis+(r) has just been enhanced with an improved “Run Search As” feature. It also has a folder that contains recently added publications. Other new features include a civil process map for California and nine popular labor answer books.
LexisNexis has also expanded its Intellectual Property Solutions suite. It now has a database that provides information on intellectual property activities in the U.S., EU, and the WTO. In addition, it also provides news on new intellectual property developments. The databases include case briefs and insights on various intellectual property issues.
Another new LexisNexis tool is Lexis+(r) CourtLink. The tool offers docket and complaint retrieval, and it comes with the option to download customized tables. Additionally, the company has added more premium content to its Legal News Hub. Plus, they have added more than 30 law reviews.
Aside from their specialized legal research databases, LexisNexis also provides a comprehensive range of other tools for lawyers and researchers. You can find information on everything from the latest federal tax laws to financial accounting to health care. EBSCOhost, for example, contains thousands of scholarly articles on many legal and non-legal topics.
Gale Virtual Reference Library is a collection of over 72,000 e-books, journals, and reference materials from libraries around the world. This service can be particularly helpful to those who are researching topics such as health and occupational safety.
The ABA/Bloomberg Law Lawyer’s Manual on Professional Conduct is a collection of current reports and ethics rules, as well as business publications. There is also a comprehensive resource library that includes articles from more than 65 business journals.
Other resources available to students and legal professionals at the University of South Carolina School of Law include a comprehensive resource library, a Legal Research Center, and the Sports Law Fall Forum. Also, the School of Law recently announced that Elizabeth Chambliss and Ann Eisenberg will teach a number of courses this semester. They are also announcing a few new faculty members for the 2022-23 academic year.
In other news, the University of Georgia School of Law has announced the incoming faculty for the 2022-23 academic year. This includes professors from Texas A&M University and Northwestern University School of Law. And, the Children’s Law Center is set to open a first-class teaching space.
